The term texture can be characterized as an organizer structure created by intertwined/interloped yarns or filaments and felts made by interlocking strands. It is a fabricated get together of filaments and/or yarns that have considerable surface region corresponding to its thickness and adequate mechanical solidarity to give the get together characteristic attachment. Fundamentally, there are three techniques by which textures are made. They are

 Weaving Process:

Weaving is the convergence of two arrangements of straight yarns, twist, and weft, which cross and entwine at right points to one another. The long way yarns are known as twist yarns and width savvy yarns are known as weft or filling yarns and the texture delivered is known as woven texture.

Knitting Process:

Knitting comprises of framing yarns into loops, every one of which is normally just discharged after succeeding loops has been shaped and intermeshed with it so a safe ground circle structure is accomplished. By the weaving procedure, the sewed texture is created.

 Non-woven Process:

In this strategy, textures (known as non-wovens) are made of strands held together by an applied holding operator or by the combining of independent thermoplastic filaments. Here, nothing is handled on traditional shafts, weavers, and knitting machines

Warp & Weft:

The phrase warp is used as :

  1. Threads duration methods in material as woven.
  2. A variety of threads in lengthy lengths and about parallel, in diverse bureaucracy meant for weaving, knitting, doubling, sizing, dying, or lace-making.

The phrase weft is used as :

Threads width smart in material as woven.
Yarn meant to be used as in

Fabric Construction:

The general format of fabric construction is given below:

Warp count X Weft count / Ends per inch X Picks per inch

Example: 24 X 20 / 132 X 60

Some times fabric construction is also written in the other way round i.e.

Ends per inch X Picks per inch / Warp count X Weft count
